Maggie Brennan (they/them) is an actor, writer, producer, and teaching artist. Originally from the mountains of rural Pennsylvania, they graduated with honors from Temple University’s theater program. They’ve also trained at The Gaiety School of Acting in Dublin, Ireland.

Maggie’s performances have been praised for their “ease, clarity, and smoldering intensity” (Cat Ramirez, Director). They bring instinctual curiosity and down-home hard f*cking work to the table. Their debut short film script CARE TAKER was a quarter-finalist in the 2025 BlueCat Screenplay Competition and received production support from the Philadelphia Independent Media Fund and Seed&Spark Patrons Circle.

On stage and off, Maggie is deeply passionate about transparency, equity, and accessibility in the arts. If you live in the Philly area and receive state benefits or identify as disabled, you can visit over 100 local theaters, museums, gardens, and other cultural sites for $2 admission using the Art-Reach ACCESS Program! (This is also where Maggie works when they’re not making theater and film happen.) Learn more about the ACCESS Program here.
